“Robert Scoble (@scobleizer) has talked about this for a while now - he claims to monitor 17000 tweets a day (or something similar) and curates the best. See his favourites feed: http://twitter.com/Scobleizer/favorites Personally I'm a bit sceptical - curation is not too far from editing - something that feels too 'old media' for me. Twitter itself with it's follow model is curational in it's nature - as you mentioned in your boo. I find the people I want to follow, and this very act is editorial/curational - its not like the 'old media' style where somebody (eg Scoble) tells me what's interesting/valuable. As for the so-called 'echo chamber' of only following people you agree with - this has been happening for years in the press - just look at the Daily Mail. Props for the boo and the issues raised” -

“Its not much better under the Tories either I'm afraid. I'm in Tory-controlled Wokingham Borough Council and they've been trying to monetise my local sailing club, by upping the rent and drawing up (ridiculous) plans to turn it into some sort of activity centre. This would replace a perfectly good sailing club which provides boat hire and lessons, probably much cheaper than any big commercial venture would, all for a quick buck.” -
