digitalfiction I enjoyed listening to this boo, and I do agree with you that we don't know what the outcome of all these technological changes will be on books, stories and reading behaviour. In the same way that we are only just beginning to grasp how the Internet is changing the way we access and use information, not to mention 'shortening' attention spans. While I am in favour of digital content (the convenience especially) there is still something valuable about sitting down and reading a book as a basic human activity.

Doubledaypub This was actually recorded on Sunday in Manhattan. A gorgeous day. I was sitting out on our building's roof deck enjoying a Davidoff cigar.

“I think the very next step is VideoBoo, though the performances will become professionalized and slick(er). There's something intimate, genuine and relaxed about these audio recordings.” -

“There's an immediacy about audio that a tweet doesn't capture--after all, these letters that I've just strung together could be put there by anyone, but one's voice is truly one's own.” -
