JacquelineB I think your Cool Kate! But does it count when an uncool person thinks it, lol. Anyway I've noted Little Miss Sunshine and Hitchhikers Guide radio as things to look out for :)

NickHollowayVox @sm2n - yes, with you and Jana as the next door neighbours, watching it all unfold and having late night chats with one another about the quirky characters and their shenanigans ( it all feels rather Richard Curtis, in a good way).
-
sm2n Yeah, I can imagine a rom-com chick flick based on this story. You should write the screenplay!
-
NickHollowayVox There's a sitcom in there somewhere!

“This is such a lovely Audioboo. I've only just had a chance to listen to it. Thank you! Hearing the excitement in your voice about being one step away from Anton reminds me how excited I am when I'm in touch with him. I know that I'm in a really privileged position, I can't believe the people I've had the honour of meeting, that's why I try to do my best to share that with other people. I usually talk about space stuff on my @spacekate account, but was too excited to log in to that one. Did you see the piece I wrote for CNN? http://lightyears.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/16/spacewalking-like-giving-birth-to-yourself/ *proud* I'm so excited to have had an affect on you and to have brought you a little closer to space. That means the world to me. Kate x” -

197.024Was the PM right only to invite friendly stakeholders to Number 10?
about 1 year ago1329783063
“Going by your very own logic, your defence is that there might occasions where only those most involved in the implementation should be invited. Well given that clinical commissioning groups are to be made up of GPs, would you not think on this basis that it would be sensible to have invited the Royal College of GPs? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.” -

“A wonderful story as ever Christian... enjoy your last day in your 30's worrying too much about what everyone thinks, and then relax tomorrow when it dawns on you that it really doesn't matter. :) ” -

110.997First day of #FeBOOary, a little introduction

I don't think that anyone has claimed it to be a novel idea - indeed, doing something everyday for a month is hardly something new, and NaPodPoMo itself is derivative of NaNoWriMo and others as I understand (correct me if I'm wrong). I don't know if SawyerGB knew about NaPodPoMo or not, but certainly the term FeBOOary was his idea and as I've already mentioned, I'm not sure anyone can really claim to have had the original 'doing something everyday for a month' idea. We are encouraging people to be creative for a month and share their Audioboos with one another in a friendly manner. Surely this is something to celebrate? I mentioned NaPodPoMo in my boo, and am happy to link to them in the Audioboo blog too. No-one is trying to steal credit for anything, we are just trying to support people being creative in the new year. I do hope you'll join us. ” -

“@shanmanonline - No - I don't have AB seasons yet - any good? @peskypeople - You wanted a rough transcript.. well I personally *hate* transcribing (and listening back to the sound of my own voice), but here's the gist: Went out for dinner, had a nice meal with a nice friend. Tried to get home, using the Victoria Line. Not only was it experiencing delays due to signal failure (again) but someone had been sick all over the platform. Pressed info button on station to report vomit - asked what was wrong with Vic Line - was told signal failure. Asked exasperatedly - "does it ever work" and the tube worker replied "No, not really, no". Great. Needed the loo. No loo in station. Am told to try McDonald's McLoo by another tube worker, who when I ask about the Victoria Line comments on the new trains: "I hate them, they're really hot and they always breakdown". Honest yes. Good enough? No. McLoos all blocked and out of action. Go to public loo - am yelled at by attendent who's sort of tied the gate shut - "GO!" Me - "Excuse please, I'd really like to..." Her: AWAY! There is no water - GO AWAY" Nice hotel to the resuce. Button falls of jacket. Am convinced everything is broken. Get back to tube, still wait a while for a train which then stops in tunnels and takes more than twice as long as it should to get me home. I play angry birds and calm down a little. My luck changes - the bus I need (to stop me having to walk in the dark alone) - is just pulling in. If I run I can catch it. It doesn't stop. It's the main station. It doesn't stop. Okay - I must have been too slow. But wait - there's a nice gent with a violin legging it towards the next stop - (if you run fast enough you can beat the bus there) - so there *was* someone waiting for that bus. I run, I catch the bus, I ask the driver why he didnt stop. He said he didn't see anyone (bad lighting at bus station). I complain that we will never cope with the Olympics if getting home on a quiet Wednesday afternoon is such a nightmare. I ask Boris to fix it, acknowledging he probably won't listen, but statin that he should. All of the above in a highly irritated, slightly flustered (from running for bus) type voice. Much sarcasm and questioning of why the heck they spent so long messing with the Victoria Line only to make it worse. Hope that helps. :) Kate” -

As for the claims about Fisher Space pens being used in space - I can confirm (having asked an astronaut the same thing) that yes they are, although their versions of the pen are different to the ones you buy here. Their's are the ones that have a clicker at the end rather than a lid - which would just be one too many things to get lost in microgravity! :) If you like space stuff - you should check out some of my Audioboos under my spacekate account - especially the one with Charlie Duke, who walked on the moon! :)” -
