‘Amazing voice, totally unique – I think you’re a recording artist waiting to be recorded’ – Gary Barlow X Factor
‘What a star!! Shone bright, bright, bright! – Paul Ferris, West End producer of ‘Shine Bright Like a Diamond’
James successfully auditioned for ITV's The X Factor in 2011 and made it through Bootcamp and on to the judge's houses with Gary Barlow. He was then chosen to go through to the live shows by Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow but in a cruel twist James was one of four contestants to be eliminated on the debut live shows following his acclaimed rendition of the Beatles' Ticket to Ride.
James' vocals were featured on the X Factor 2011 charity single (a cover of Rose Royce's Wishing on a Star) which was recorded to raise funds for ACT and Children's Hospices UK. The single became an instant No 1.
More recently James has been writing and recording original material as well as touring and gigging around the UK. He has made several appearances for charity including the recent 'Shine Bright Like a Star' Charity Gala Event in support of St. Barnabas House Hospice.
I present BBC radio programmes, host live events and do voiceovers. Having a microphone's just an excuse to meet all sorts of fascinating people. I thrive on a challenge, so feel free to listen to some of my recent broadcasts.
The monumental live album has been remastered at Abbey Road Studios. With 28 hits inc. Maybe I’m Amazed, Yesterday, Live and Let Die, & Band on the Run, the album is available on 2CD, Vinyl, download & Deluxe box set.
