“Thanks, guys, especially for your comment about the natural-sounding nature of the reading. This one was actually edited rather heavily in post-production, so I think I can feel a bit better about my editing skills, too!” -

And makes it sound like more than one person reading. 8-) PJ: This story actually is slightly more than 1000 words, so is a stretch anyway. It didn't occur to me to break it into two. I'm going to have to consider carefully what kinds of pieces are appropriate for the 5 minute limitation.” -

298.73“Thanks, Tina, you're very kind! This one really pushed the limits on what can be done with this set-up. My first reading, with the complete text and paced properly, went more than 6 minutes. Subsequent readings were necessarily more rushed. Although I learned quite a bit about editing for audio in the process of doing this, I'm not all that satisfied about what the cutting it and squeezing it to fit did to it. There's a learning curve to these, and at least I know more now that I did before.” -

“PJ: Ha! I guess I'm in pretty good shape, then. Anthony commented on the blog post & was positive; if I'd blown the accent, I'm guessing that would have shaded his reaction.” -
