To automatically post to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Posterous or FriendFeed log-in to your account online, click on the “Settings” tab, and then “Posting to other sites” in the left hand menu.
Select the site that you wish to auto-post to and submit your log-in details. Don’t forget to click “save” for each service. From now on, your Audioboos will automatically post to whichever sites you’ve chosen.
The free version of Audioboo only allows you to post to personal pages.
Not at the moment. Once you’ve set up auto-posting it will apply to all of your Audioboos. You can log in on the website and disable auto-posting at any time though.
Yes – all Audioboos have an embed code that you can cut and paste into your website. Simply go to the boo page for the Audioboo you’re interested in and click “embed”. Cutting and pasting that code into your site should give you a nice boo player.
If you have a self-hosted WordPress blog then it is possible to use the embed code as stated above. We have also created a player that you can embed on free, WordPress.com blogs. All you need to do is click "embed" as usual, then select "Audioboo Labs" for a choice of other players. Here you will find a player suitable for embedding on WordPress.com blogs. Hooray!
Yes we do! To embed an HTML5 player in your website you just need go through the embed process as usual, but instead of copying the Flash player code, click "Audioboo Labs" for a choice of HTML5 players. There is a choice between a full featured player and a standard player. The standard player works on blogs that disallow javascript, such as Posterous.
You’ll need to sign into your account on the website, and go to your account settings. Once you’re there you’ll be given the option of clicking “I want to delete my account”. If you’re really sure you want to leave us (and we’ll be sad to see you go) then go ahead and click that.
Log-in to your account at audioboo.fm, and go to your account settings. The top option allows you to edit your username. Once you’ve chosen your username you can only change it once, so make sure you choose something that you’re happy with. You can only change your username to something that isn’t already being used by someone else. Once you’ve chosen your new name click “submit” and you’re done. You’ll need to use your new name to sign into Audioboo in future.
Log-in to your account at audioboo.fm, click on “Settings”, then “My account settings”. You will now be given the option to change your Audioboo password.
Visit audioboo.fm/amnesia and put in your username. We’ll send details to the email address that you registered with us.
Yes – if it’s yours. Log into your account on the website, go to the Audioboo that you wish to delete and click “Edit”. You will then have the option of removing the boo from your stream. (This will of course affect any embedded versions of the boo that are on other websites too.)
Yes! It’s simple. Just log into your account on the website, go to the Audioboo that you wish to makes changes to and click “Edit”. You can change the photograph, add/remove geolocation data, edit the title and tags too.
No. Once a boo has been uploaded you cannot edit the audio. Though you may choose to delete it.
It depends. You can upload pre-edited pieces of audio using the web-uploader. If you are using the smartphone app or web-recorder then I’m afraid not.
No, but you can send a private message to someone on Audioboo.
We do not currently have a dedicated iPad app, but you can still you the iPhone app just fine on an iPad.
We don’t support a dedicated Blackberry app at present because the quality of their recording microphones wasn’t a match for other smartphones. If you wish to Audioboo from a Blackberry you can use BooMail.

iPhone: Music Player
Android: Akimbo Player, or Music Player
We offer a range of different accounts for business customers and individuals. If you’re interested in longer record times, or perhaps hosting your podcast with us, then why not check out our Plus account? For more information on our business accounts email .
When Audioboo originally launched, the generous five minute recording time that was used during beta testing mode was available to all users. However, our long-term plan has always been to move to a three minute upload model. With the introduction of a number of new options for users and the rapid growth of our community, we felt that the time was right to make the change. The average boo uploaded to the Audioboo site lasts less than three minutes, so we anticipate that this change will not affect the majority of users and uploaded boos.
Existing users will be able to retain their five minute limit until October 2012 (a further year), after which their accounts will automatically change to a three minute limit. New users will go straight to the three minute upload model. For users who want a longer recording time, the new paid Plus account is available, offering audio uploads of up to half an hour, plus a host of other benefits. We are also working on a Lite version of the Plus account, giving users up to ten minutes of recording time.
We love free things as much as you do (especially if they are made of chocolate), but lots of people have been asking for extended recording time and so we created a service to suit their needs. We look after all your audio on high-quality servers which can host and stream your audio. Sadly these are not cheap to run, so whilst we continue to offer a free service, we felt that those people who wanted additional features and support should pay a subscription. We’ve done our best to make sure that we are competitively priced and unlike other services we don’t enforce strict limits on the total amount of audio that you upload. Meanwhile, the free accounts are still available so you can capture and share your short audio clips with the world.
