Hi Lindsay,

Short and to the point. This is a great intro for folks interested in the VO biz. Pointing out that there is more to the profession that popping open a mic and talking is an excellent point. Being able to pretend, act and have an active imagination will go a long way. Can't wait to hear the rest. PS. Love the accent!

Judging by the number of enquiries I receive from aspiring voice over artists, it must sound very appealing. Doesn’t it just involve speaking into a microphone after all, oh we can all do that can’t we? “That sounds like a jolly good wheeze, how do I become one, I’ve often been told I have a good voice?!” I’ve lost count the number of people who have approached me with that line, so I thought it would be worth while writing this blog post to provide some helpful tips…this is Part 1 of a 3-part audio boo podcast, based on a recent blog post of mine, http://lindsayabbott.com/2010/04/becoming-a-voice-over-its-easy-innit/ . Hope you find it useful...
