Thank you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Your kind comments mean a lot to me.
I've not got the dictaphone working yet, I might have to take you up on offers to help if I can't find the other one that I am sure exists around here somewhere.
I've a funny feeling they might just be old tapes from the answering-machine. But I really should find out.
Fantastically moving. I do hope you found her voice on that dictaphone. In fact, I can hardly wait to find out! My parents both died in the last three years and I don't have a record of their voices either, despite carrying an audio recorder around with me for years. What are we like?
What an amazing, touching audioboo - thank you for sharing it. I don't know if you got the dictaphone working, but I'm sure I've got one somewhere that might be compatible... I can look out for it if you'd like.. I really hope you can hear your Mother's voice x
Very moved by your audioboo Kate. I am yet to properly go through the couple of boxes i salvaged from my Mums house. Been putting it off for a long time now.
You yourself are the reminder. You are your mothers daughter and you can't get closer than that to the original. That voice you hear inside when you are thinking.. that's as much her as it is you. Take care.
I am touched by this. You know one of the drivers behind the birth of audioboo was my own mother's death and the loss of her voice for ever. You're done a brilliant job at capturing those around you now, including your dear granny. Be proud and take care.
