Welcome Emma! Like you, I didn't really get it at first - but then I had some direct responses from people to my boos and it started to click. This was a form of communication I'd not come across before - and it plugs into the "short-form" nature of lot of internet content. Somewhere between and twitter post and a full blown podcast!

Look forward to hearing more of your thoughts!

Emma - very nice boo - you did a fabulous job of avoiding the 'ummm's - it's obvious you're a bit more polished at recording yourself than i'm sure i will be when i make the plunge into my first boo.

Oh my Goddess me... Em I'm all teared up. I feel like it is such a travesty that we're caught on the other side of the world from each other and as much as social networking and social media allows us to connect and be there for each other... it can't substitute a huge, a real pot of tea and a quiet afternoon's conversation. *Sigh*.

I'm glad something in that first boo inspired you to take this next step. It is so much more personal and we lead such lonely lives as writers (and I sat that because all our contact is still words on screens etc) and that's why I love this so much. It is like coming into your kitchen and having a conversation.

I really look forward to hearing more of you... this was the first time I'd heard your voice because I'm slack and haven't sorted out getting your book podcasts yet.

Keep well Em... and for the time being, virtual hugs. xxxx

Yes! Fantastic that you had that "light bulb" moment. Can't wait to keep the conversation going here on Audioboo!
