i'd disagree with the article. I rely on RSS for different things - updates from forum's, my favourite websites, my own sites: I tend not to use them to click through - rather they save me time. I glance them to keep informed and only last night, when I set up a Tumblr account, I was grateful for RSS - it allowed me to create a blog very quickly, bring the important stuff i wanted into one place, and log our within a half hour.
I agree with you - and use it in a very similar way. Interesting Boo as ever.
