Oh, wow. The last line and your delivery was spot on, and it gave me a chill. A normal, everyday thing, yet you made it unsettling poetry! Nicely done.
Kate - this is a very nice piece. Your recording is good, you have a nice slow pace which, i think, is necessary, particularly for poetry. My feeble brain takes longer to process it so i very much appreciate the pace, although i did go back and reread it on your blog as well. Our friend poor Dean should sell his skateboard, for sure ;-)
