This Boo was recorded on the 10th August 2009 as I began training with my first ever guide dog, Vance. Throughout the weeks that followed a recorded a number of audio diary entries charting my progression from novice trainee guide dog user to ... well ... slightly less novice guide dog owner. I will post these on audioboo in due course, as time allows. In the meantime I would be interested in the thoughts of anybody visiting this page and listening to these Boos. You might also wish to use this space to post any burning questions you might have about guide dog ownership. I can then try and answer them in my "How to work a guide dog" Boos.

Finally (for now) I have two thank yous to make. Firstly to David Apps for loaning me his Microtrack II recorder - without whom this audio diary would not have happened. Secondly, I am also very grateful to the Audioboo team for allowing me to upload recordings over five minutes - this is very much appreciated.
