It's a mixture of finding the right level and being aware of them. Once you know certain words blast the mic you learn to soften them. I normally blast it, stop, and then repeat what I said making sure I soften the word a bit.

Thanks Greg. Still a bit mithered on explosive consonants and sibilants, but I'm working on them by utilising the level adjustments on Audacity.
