Thanks, PJ and Jen. Reading slowly requires concentration, and my mind wanders between words. Practice makes perfect. Breaking a novel into such a tiny segment seems strange, but we'll see how it goes after another segment.
You have colour, light, sound, all the senses awake right away at the start of the story. I'd like more dialogue but I think that's just because like PJ I'd like to know more about what's going on. It's a very intriguing beginning.
David - this is an intriguing start to your novel. You read it a bit fast but it still seems very cool, it raises a lot of questions which is good. I'd like to read more.
