@anakin1814 Yes, Kevy's a great guy as well as a great musician, so it was fun to go out there to support his event, and then to check in online a few times during the rest of the marathon. I think the final total was around $6,000!
I met Kevy (via YouTube) about 3 years ago, right before he lost his job at a retirement home. I was able to finally meet him face-to-face last year at the San Francisco gathering and ask him how he's doing since the job lay off. He said it was the best thing that ever happened to him. Since then he's gotten even more passionate about his music and even giving music lessons. To see him get to this point, doing this guitar-a-thon for cancer research really shows me just how dedicated he is with his music and how much it was meant to be for him. I'm proud of this guy!
