I needed the sound of someone tapping on a cheap gas gauge in an old beat up jeep. After listening to all of the sounds in my library, I just couldn't find anything that matched. So I ended up recording myself knocking on the plastic thermostat pictured above. It was the perfect balance of hollow plastic and light rattle. Used in Season 3.5 of Destination Truth / Episode 11 -- Ghosts of Masada.
