@anakin1814 I've not noticed that here, but i can well believe it. I think that's the same as that job i've gone for. Some of the applicants don't really want it, but it's better than nothing.
I've noticed that around here lately, the level of customer service has gotten better at places like Subway, McDonalds, etc. I'm convinced that there are so few jobs out there, that hard working, good candidates will gladly take a job that they may not have ever consider a few years ago. The cream of the crop??
6,000 applicants for 300 jobs sounds about right. I was at the market, talking to the manager, and she was frustrated because the phone wouldn't stop ringing for the one part-time spot she has open, with already 100 applicants. (No, I was not talking to her about the job, I was complaining about peanut butter, but that's another story for another day).
I wanna hear the peanut butter story!
