You are definately making sense candle! I think it's all about striving for balance. I am completely with you on the catch 22 thing. It is important to go through what we need to go through. For example, it's fine to mourn the loss of my computer files, but only for a while. Like giving yourself a time period to feel sorry for yourself, but then deciding right, now it's time to gain some perspective and remember there are people much worse off and it's time to cop on and stop thinking about something silly.
I think that only works for issues that are more trivial than tramatic. Bigger issues like the break up of a relationship, or losing someone need a different way of being dealt with.
This was a great boo. I think of this sometimes too but one thing I've always said is that even though there are people going through much worse than you, that doesn't lessen the blow of what you're going through. You know? I suppose it's sort of a catch 22 though because you are definitely right - we could all take a look at our lives and the lives of others and gain new perspectives but we're too caught up taking a look at our lives and basically freaking the fuck out. I think that freaking out over your computer documents is OK though because it's relevant to you. Sure, it may seem silly in the long run but it's something you care about. Am I making sense here? I'm not sure I am at this point. Haha. I definitely enjoyed this nonetheless.
