Yes, I know I've been Poping it this week - I have really enjoyed the multi-media and social media produced during the visit. We've seen more than baby kissing or crowd waving online. His speeches were all online very quickly - so I was able to determine instantly what I thought of his message. Only through social media could I follow the Pope via the eyes of the camera persons both on helicopters and on the ground... fascinated about the motorcycle police and how they manage the traffic and security of a motorcade.... It is his job to promote Christianity, just like the Royal Family's job is to promote the United Kingdom... I thought he did a good job. It is fascinating to me that a lot of academic pursuit started by somebody looking up at the sky in fascination and wonder - architecture, farming, navigation... just a man/woman, a mind, a soul, a thought... it was nice to be reminded of the pleasure of a simpler life in contemplation, and not to forget to dedicate time to actually speak with ourselves - prayer is a religious discipline - but reflective practice is an academic self-discipline - both are techniques for self-visualisation - the word Evangelist today is more an ICT term, but this is a recent thing. I am also fascinated about what makes a Saint... is it like an MBE or OBE? I've been reading about Cardinal Newman [I did not know him before] I certainly like to knowing why people make it to the honours lists or Nobel Prize list... why not be curious about people on the saintly list?
what are you up to at the OU pal.. oh Hawkins does have a new book out - The Grand Design, ive read extracts.. the usual conceited "look what ive worked out and, well you havent" crap.. shit you know me im as big an atheist as the next man, i have vox populi, vox dei tattooed on my arm for GODS SAKE.. thats an oxymoron ehh (well when not manic and thinking im joan of ark.. but without her sexy boobies)… but still ill admit it is a possibility god (not a big fat man with a white beard.. thats santa, thanks to coka cola for that ehh) - a far higher state of conscienceless exists… its all to much for an ant to understand so far to much for us either ehh.. maybe SH is the devil and he is waiting for armageddon to rise up… from his chair.
im getting a little into this social networking pal so cheers for reminding me about it all ehh.. just dont really have much to say.... apart from hardcore opinions, views etc that ill keep to myself....umm
