I am growing to like you so much more with each boo. This is something that I've argued about with friends for years now. Everything you said is so on point. Who cares what the person will spend it on? As long as what he/she does spend it on gives them a glimmer of hope and happiness, so be it. We all take what we have for granted. I'm not going to lie and say that I've never ignored someone begging, but more often than not even if I DON'T have money (as I seldom carry cash) I acknowledge the person asking and say, "I'm sorry, I don't". As you said, they are humans too.
The song "Another Day In Paradise" by Phil Collins (though I prefer the Copeland version better) is amazing. You should take a listen. My uncle used to live on the streets so this topic kind of hits home. I hope many people listen to this and THINK about the situation at hand.
