Hey Nick Thanks for your audioboo in response to my question about place, space and wellbeing!
re: your question re: voices for radio. I think the main thing is when you talk on the radio you just come to a place where you have feel comfortable with your own voice no matter what! If you do enough audioboos you'll feel the same...you just get used to your own tones somehow (it's All the Mind, as some would say!)
Had a listen, I think your voice sounded fine! It was just the occasional hesitations that slowed the pace a little, which is understandable given you're recording a live unscripted piece!
I hate working in an open plan office, because the constant noise and conversations around me make it impossible to work unless I put headphones on - which then gives off a rather anti-social impression if I do it too many days in a row. That said, I just love open plan homes - but it is a completely different mindset there (and less randoms walking in that start chatting about mundane things next to you!) I don't envy my partner, all through December he has to work against the background of VERY loud Christmas songs playing on loop - only about 12 songs, too.
Glad I'm not the only one who recorded a response!
