I used to really enjoy Halloween when I was a kid. I loved going to school and having parties and coming home to trick or treat. However, I associate Halloween now as a time of loneliness. Every year my mother, her husband, and my baby sister take a vacation to Florida and leave me home alone for a week. This has happened the past 6 years or so. I don't get invited to parties and I don't really have any friends to do anything with. Therefore, I dread Halloween. This year I'll be dog/house sitting for my aunt. At least I won't be TOTALLY alone! Haha. A little dog to keep me company.
I also associate Halloween with my great uncle's death as I came home from school one Halloween and got the news that he had passed away. I was very, very close to him so it hit me hard.
