The notion of Twitter being 'used' an opportunity to get introduced to people that one wouldn't in the normal course of events certainly rings true after yesterday's #LOCC (Limerick OpenCoffee Club), where I had a great chat with Connor Murphy, co-founder of DataHug who won the 'Spark of Genius' award at last weeks Dublin Web Summit.
The meeting was 'arranged' entirely over Twitter when Connor made first contact after noticing this week's #LOCC announcement. The DataHug team were in Limerick yesterday to take part in the Seedcorn regional finals and planned to drop in to #LOCC to say hello afterwards. Which they did and where they enjoyed I'm sure a very buoyant discussion. The knock-on effect was to attract a few other new attendees to our monthly networking event which was one of the liveliest in a while.
Of course @topogold was there and as engaging as ever. It would be great if you could join us some day Paul - 1st Thursday of every month at the Absolute Hotel, from 11am.
