cool, thanks. i already have audacity. (you should be able to save audacity as an mp3; i do that for work all the time, as well as the .wav files that it saves out to --which are usually HUGE).
Ok, so it worked. Right, for those of you struggling with a Mac, and the hatred between Mac and Flash (so that's you Alex), there is a solution. Go to http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/mac and download there. Then scroll down the page to the section called optional downloads and get the LAME MP3 encoder (yes, it is called that). Once all that is installed you can record your Boo, save it as an MP3, and then you have "the genius in a bottle". At that point you can upload the file to your heart's delight.
Mind you, after all that I personally think I'm going back to the hit and miss action of the Flash uploader.
