We do get somewhat carried away with the weather i think. I am just as much to blame but i try to do it in conversation and would not fill a newspaper with it. :)
My Gran (aged 86) just said she would stay in while it was deep and told me how when she was young she had to ski to school on home made skis.
Do you think it is culturally an English tradition for the initial reaction to be that of a drama queen?! Old people have reason to complain as for them it is physically painful and debilitating, but the vast majority can make do without a fuss if adequate plans are made.
