Ah, the Peter Principle where people get promoted to a position of competence. So they then get very protective of their position so when someone clever comes along who they think could be a threat to them they will do everything to stop that person.

* I don't think Hollywood (film/tv) or Atlanta (music) or New York (whatever) is READY for the genius talent from You Tube or the internet. 90% of the time, when they snatch up someone, the DOZEN executives in charge all know "what works" and helps/interferes/screws-the-artist's-work-up-so-much to the point of FUBAR that the new artist is doomed. It's like, why did they hire the artists & want his vision in the first place if they are going to mess with it to "mainstream" the financial possibilities!?!?
