I fancy myself a very amateur fiction writer, and I've found my best inspirations from no where whatsoever. I'll be doing the dishes, walking my dog or out walking and suddenly an idea will hit me. This is why I always have a notebook with me wherever I go, so I can capture these ideas. You would be surprised how many ideas you will come up with if you carry around one. Everyone should give it a try.
