There's a certain unfortunate irony that at a time when Social Media and People's Journalism, is expanding at such a rapid pace, Politicians are in the headlines so prominently for all the wrong reasons.
Whilst social media offers Politicians a superb platform for engaging with the electorate, I worry that currently they are proving themselves so far removed from society in common sense terms and in economic terms, that we're unlikely to listen without hefty cynicism.
On the other hand.......rather that than reading Journo spin from the fear mongers at the Mail and the Express (et al).....and a cyncial electorate is never a bad thing when it comes to forcing politicians to think, engage and act!
Belfast is such a cool city and with many great people.
All my best,
Del
