*HUG* Sounds like you need one! What an awful day :(
I still remember vividly the time I shut youngest son's fingers in the car boot. I had to actually unlock the car boot to remove his hand and I was convinced that I'd be collecting ends as I lifted the boot *shudder*. Fortunately, it appears Nissan Micras are either incredibly well made or very flimsy because his fingers were fine - bruised and swollen but fine.
Eldest son has also ended up in A&E for trapped fingers - fortunately in that case, that was on school property on the ONLY DOOR in the school without a hinge protector - this was when he was 8 so certainly old enough to know better! Had to have his hand X-Rayed because the fingers were crushed at the growth plate points which can have implications later as he continues growing, apparently, but all was fine. A week later, youngest son ended up in A&E for a head injury (he ran into a breakfast bar and hit his cheekbone and the A&E staff were concerned he'd fractured it). I despair, I really do. The fingers in the car boot was the worst though, because I felt responsible for that one.
