Awesome ending! Talent does matter! It is very irritating to hear and see so many things and people out there, especially int he acting and music industry, who have made it famous and who are, to be perfectly honest, really rubbish. I ca say to myself "well, clearly they did something right in order to be liked" but then if you think about it, a few people from big brother (no name *cough* jade goody*cough*) only because famour because they were on that show and that's the only reason. They have no talent, they haven't added to the community in any way, so why should they be up there getting 5 star acknowledgment?
It shouldn't matter how many people know of your talent or who you are, for if they are few then they are most definatly the more realistic people who matter. As a performer I found that even though I want to make it big in film&tv, the people who come up to me at my work place and they they loved my part in a show they saw are alot more meaningful to me, especially as they made the effort to mention it first!
Talent matters and the way you market yourself matters. It all depends on what you're doing and what you want people to view you as. So you take your talent of performing and that's all you have. You have a talent of being crazy and putting on a good show. Your singing isn't so great but people love you for your personality on stage. You market yourself in a way that promotes that. But if you actually have a talent for singing or dancing or whatever then you market yourself that way. You market yourself in a way that shows your passion and some may see part of that as selling out but I think thats silly because if you want to share your passion for music or helping people or dancing or photography or cooking then you have to go on news shows and sell shirts and write books and make videos and do whatever you can to get people to listen to you. Everyone wants someone to listen to them and when you have a talent for something why not share it.
If a tree falls down and no one is there to hear it, it still makes a sound.
If my mom asked me to clean my room and I wasn't paying attention, she still asked me to clean my room.
If a talented musician played his music and no one was there to hear it, it certainly would matter just as long as it matters to the musician.
Barely anyone in the world has seen all of the talents that I hold but it still matters because it matters to me and that's all that counts in the end.
talent matters but why do you always have to share it with the world? it's fine that you can inspire the world with it, but does it mean if you don't that your talent doesn't matter? don't understand me wrong it's fantastic that you can inspire people. but the meaning of talent too me is more like if you don't expose your talent to anyone else than yourselve there is at least one person who your helping. talent matter also if you don't join your talent with society.
If a musician doesn't have a large audience it shouldn't matter as long as the musician really does have a love of music. The most important thing is that the person continues what they love doing regardless of views, ratings, fans etc and any popularity gained can be a bonus and sometimes provide opportunities. Unfortunately talent isn't needed nowadays IF someone does want to become famous...but then saying that Jedward can't really be happy putting on that act 24/7 just for show can they...who would want that?
Talent does matter because it's what makes that person/people special and sets them ahead of other artists. Today it seems any one can get famous even for just being famous. Being famous for being talented is something special because it's hard to get famous from just raw talent. Also no matter how big the following, as long as someone's talent is being acknowledged, appreciated or enjoyed then it shouldn't matter how big their following is. BUT they deserve it more than people who just make rubbish which gets known because the people who made it are famous.
