Members of the Afghan National Army Band are mentored by the Band of the Parachute Regiment in Kabul. Aside from the odd 'bum' note, the ANA band are coming on in leaps and bounds with their new instruments. Under the taliban regime, their old instruments had to be hidden, sometimes buried from view.
