Bob Green's bench sits at the bend in the river Wensum, where the late Fourteenth century Cow Tower stands. Thadeus - like me, a member of the Ragged Ramblers - and I love this tribute to an 'ordinary' man, sited, as it is, by a wonderful historic monument. Bob was simply a man who loved to sit and watch the world go by here. Here's my very short poem, which is a tribute to his memory (although I never knew him in life, I have met his memory and he is alive in my imagination)...
