Speaking at Chatham House on 21 February 2011, John Ashton, the UK's Special Representative for Climate Change, argued that a move towards a low carbon economy is the only successful long term solution to tackling climate change. He continued by stressing the need for multilateral diplomacy and a global strategy to combat the rise in temperature.
