I've used tweetmic for the occasional 'quick note to self' type memo. it's OK but it has no metatagging : it's the real twitter for audio. Problem is, tweets get lost in the ether.
For me, the usefulness of AudioBoo is that it includes very comprehensive data tags, gps, and a superb UI. It's the permenant record I create when I Boo. The clarity of the recording, and the stable platform. I've had many a twwetmic message fail. To their credit they sort it out and re-submit the message to twitter - but there's not much point recording quick memo's to people when they arrive 2 hours later....
Tweet Mic has it's uses for sure. However, why they didn't just call it StatusupdateMic and quit with the 'one for each social network' thing i'll never know. Very odd. ;)
