On the evening of Tuesday 3rd May the Minehead Sailors' horse left the Old Ship Aground and made its way through the streets of Minehead to the Britannia Inn at Alcombe, accompanied by melodeons, drums and a crowd of exuberant youngsters. On the way it met up and danced with the colt, Sailette, and a foal called Toby's horse.
The tunes accompanying the slideshow are "Oh Joe the boat is going over", "Minehead Johnny" and "Soldier's Joy" played on a one-row melodeon during a stop for refreshments at Alcombe.
