Yes, charging when you don't have off-street parking is going to be an issue in these early days.

I am glad you enjoyed your drive and yes, they are more expensive to buy but they are SO much cheaper to run that in 3-4 years you have recouped the extra... but that doesn't help if you don't have the cash.

As you say... promising for the future. You can follow my experiences with the Leaf at http://mynissanleafstory.blogspot.com and @snaxmuppet on Twitter.

Thanks for doing the AudioBoo. I am starting an audio diary too.

It was very nippy and very interesting.. although smaller than my current car. I heard it was a lot more, but its good to know its not that much more.

Unfortunately I can't really afford either at the moment, and as pointed out by my fiancée, EV cars are currently a lot more expensive then a traditional alternative, and at the moment cost would be a factor for me / us.. (That and we live in a terraced flat so no off road space to charge)

But long term would love to have an EV car,

What did you think of the iMiev? You said that the Leaf was about £10k more but I have a Leaf and AFAIK it is just £3k more. Probably worth cheching that out s the Leaf is hugely superior in almost every way (but then I am biased!!!)
