It's worth listening to this, if only to counter the impression you might get on the news that #LondonRiots are apolitical... I'm not supporting what's been going on, but this man breaks it down; people have a lot of legitimate reasons to be angry and don't know what to do with that anger... some people in Hackney were causing mayhem, a lot of others were just clearly furious with another black man dead at the hands of police. It may be uncomfortable to watch the images on TV, but some people are living far harder realities every day... And this is by no means a justification, just a request for people to make an attempt to understand context before writing-off a good chunk of London as 'animals' and 'scum'...
