That *is* one of the limitations (swiveling the mic around to face the same direction as the camera) and might be why Blue didn't just change the pin configuration on the Mikey and ship it for the iPhone...maybe they're making a new one that would swivel.
I'd suggest going to blue.com and sending 'em an email. The other thing, by the way, that I've done for video is to use a small piece of cardboard to create a sort of "ear" that scoops up the sound waves and directs them into the mic. Works great...makes me look like a major league dork.
I am planning to get a mikey for my iphone 3gs to record my band (with video). Can you explain if this will work alright? The mic seems to only rotate so far, and if the camera is on the back of the phone will this cause problems with getting the best sound quality?
