I agree to an extent. Which is why I try to only do stuff in video / audio if I can't do it practically in text. I'll try to keep *some* value to them. Fun / information / entertainment... Or even just if it's more convenient or enjoyable to talk rather than type. Hopefully it won't be dull. Can't promise I'll manage to hit the target every time though. :)
A little further explanation of my distaste for the twitvids and audioboos. Many of the ones I've listened to are simply things that could have been more quickly understood if typed instead of recorded. If you are going to use an audio or video medium make sure it's not just text that you speak. Otherwise, I think people will pretty quickly stop being interested.
