Osborne: UK to become ‘trading centre’ for China currency

Chancellor George Osborne has said that he wants London to become “the Western trading centre for the Chinese currency”.
Speaking on the Today programme, he also said that China’s “enormous accumulation” of savings could be “well put to use” investing in British infrastructure
On whether the UK is facing another recession, the chancellor said that according to the official report from the Office of Budget Responsibility, there would not be a recession, but that the economy was “very uncertain”.
