Lansley: NHS efficiency savings being done 'the right way'

Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has questioned the evidence behind a health select committee report which suggests non-headline making NHS services are being cut in the drive for efficiency.
Mr Lansley told Justin Webb that it would be "pointless" if this was the case.
"It is self-defeating to cut services for patients in order to then reinvest to improve them," he said.
