JacquelineB: I tend to agree. If you publish a public boo, then you almost certainly want it to be shared widely via linking & audioboo's embedding system. Sharing this way is certainly legal anyway.
Also, please don't think that I'm "having a go" at you. I'm not and I think your usage of other people's effort as you explained in your boo is fine as far as my understanding of copyright is concerned.
This just happens to be a hobby horse of mine though and you gave me the perfect opening :) Sadly very few people actually know even the basics about copyright law.
Saying that if one doesn't want to share then don't use the software seems a little unfair to me. For instance, sm2n probably wouldn't be completely happy if I took his 500'th boo, claimed that I sang it, sold it through iTunes and got filthy rich. Does this mean that he shouldn't use Audioboo because I could do this if I wanted to break the law?
As I said before though, you can link to it with no worries anyway. There's also the concept of "fair use" which allows you to use an excerpt for critique, reporting or instruction, etc. http://www.copyrightservice.co.uk/copyright/p27_work_of_others is a fairly clear read on this.

This medium is social media and there is embeded into the software the share buttons, if one doesn't want people to use the share (use the software) the boo shouldn't be recoreded here. That was were I was coming from.

Personally, I think you can always ask for a link to be removed. It is of course up to the poster as to whether they remove it.
