Interesting thoughts on the "ease of use " of pc's. I don't think it would be any easier today for a "Newby" to understand quickly what to do, or how to 'operate' one, no matter the operating system. Every refinement or improvement to computing is there for the "user" who already has experience of that system. I haven't seen any OS that would have a "newby" sending email or surfing the www, without great assistance !
However.... take the mouse away from even a very experienced user ( in the most case ) and (computing) life would grind to a halt for them :|
I completely agree.
I think touch is easier though as evidenced by watching young kids use an iPhone/iPad vs trying to use a mouse.
