With the Jubilee jubilations moving as far as St Paul's Cathedral today, spare a thought for Dr Alex Kumar, who is probably the remotest British subject to be marking the Queen's 60 year reign. He is in Antarctica, at Concordia station in the world's largest desert, there with a team of scientists in complete isolation. He's the doctor, the only Brit in a European Space Agency project to look at human physiology and psychology in conditions as close to another planet as you will find on earth. He tells Evan Davis about the weather there and his plans to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. #evanhd #r4today
