the first time i heard this boo i remember thinking, "well take a library degree--you will never have time for perfectionism!". somewhat more seriously, however, one of the things that i have been thinking about since i got my degree is the notion of "good enough". when is it 'safe' to let a task go, to let the outcome of work on a task stand on its own. when is 'good enough' actually good enough? it seems that this has more hairy edges than one might think at first glance. as it happens this is an important topic in librarianship so i think i may pick up the challenge at some point.

thanks, Tim, for the reminder about the Flett interview.
