How about automatically tagging photos (at point of take) with the Creative Commons/copyright license of your choice?

this is where Steganographic cryptography will come into effect. by adding and editing data within the image in a hidden format you can lay claim to an image outside of the meta data. The fun part will be in how we will digital sign an image by adjust only a few pixels in the centre and edges of an image.
