“Normally when I recorded theses things (with Audacity) the audio came out too quiet and had to be jacked up with the Amplify effect. I finally figure out what I needed to do to raise my microphone volume. I had to get into my microphone properties and adjust the microphone boost. What do you guys think? Too loud or just right?” -

“OK, so I recorded this one selecting my microphone as the recording device in Audacity AND used the effect "Amplify" as well. Hopefully I'm getting closer and closer to that great, no background noise-sounding podcast sound. I know I'm still a ways off, but I'm slowly climbing higher up that mountain of crystal clear sound.” -

“I recorded this on my netbook. It seemed that I was getting a much better wave file (is that correct term usage?) on Audacity using that computer, as opposed to my desktop computer. Audacity on the desktop had a pretty pitiful looking wave file. Lemme know if it sounds better.”
