I love London, I love living my life to the full and I record what I can. I'm a Journalist and I'm fascinated by stories from the normal small person. So interesting sweating the small stuff. Have courage in what you do and you are sure to succeed.
I like listening to people tell their stories. I love that ordinary folk can get their opinion across and telling your story is not just restricted to the major news corporations.
It's also nice to speak to those in the know.
Bletchley Park is the historic site of secret British codebreaking activities during WWII.
It is the birthplace of modern computing.
Winston Churchill described the Codebreakers as "The geese who laid the golden egg but never cackled."
Here you will find stories told by the codebreakers, staff and volunteers, audio from events and lectures, stories which are still emerging and reports on the progress of the development of Bletchley Park.
Welcome to the competition channel of the Settle Storytelling Festival.
What’s your story? Settle Storytelling Festival Competition 2013
We’re looking for Britain’s best undiscovered storytellers. Can you tell us a ten minute story that makes us laugh, makes us think, perhaps makes us cry? It could be about anything from sorcerers to spaceships, gingerbread men to gangsters- or even about something that happened to you.
Upload your entry here by 12 noon on 25th September 2013. The contest is open to everyone aged between 10 and 110.
There’s a £50 Amazon voucher for the winner, and prizes for two runners-up. If you win you’ll also be invited to read your story at the Storytelling Festival, taking place from 10th – 13th October 2013.
