I've recently worked with a photographer who started out with a similar attitude to your guy, but I managed to turn his attitude around so that he has now embraced social and new media as opportunities to broaden his work, rather than threats. Little victories...” -

355.711Ed Vaizey: Europe 'looks to UK as leaders' on broadband

181.394Hugh Bonneville (@hughbon) explains why he supports #cantgetonline Week
over 1 year ago1317967275
“Can't Get Online Week is a week-long challenge, in association with the CLA (http://www.cla.org.uk) during UK Get Online Week 2011 (30th October to 6th November) during which I will be challenged to visit some of the country's most isolated communities and see what can be done to help get them online. I will travel the country, recording my journey as I go on Youtube, Audioboo, Facebook and Twitter. I will recruit companies and individuals to the cause to help connect the communities up. I will challenge individuals, families, community organisations and businesses to let me help them get online when they previously thought it was impossible. Find out more at http://bit.ly/oDzsbG” -

over 3 years ago1258753225 Halifax, Calderdale, England, United Kingdom
“Again, I know nothing about Orange, but I am pretty sure you get one year's free data with a PAYG iPhone on 02, plus one year's free access to The Cloud wifi hotspots. iPhones are pretty much only available from Apple Stores or official 02 / Orange suppliers, such as their own shops or Carphone Warehouse, etc. I would be dubious about getting one anywhere else. Pretty much the only model available now is the 3GS which is the only version that does video. Mine doesn't, cos it's a 3G, which is why I use an old Nokia N95 for video (which is better quality video than the 3GS any way).” -

“It works fine over wifi. Not sure about Orange, but all data is part of the iPhone contract on 02, so, providing you have a 3G / GPRS signal, it doesn't make much difference how you upload it. And the Audioboo app will store the boo & upload it later if you don't have a signal at the time”
