“Sorry all for double-posting this. Unbeknown to me a copy has been sitting in my outbox until today - when it decided to go. Topgold - I just used my Zoom H1 - which seems to do pretty good recordings so long as you keep your hand still!” -

“Moving walkways are colloquially known as "travelators" in the UK (and in other parts, I believe) - though I believe that this may actually be a proprietory name. Basically, it's a long rubber band stretched between two rollers, on which people walk (or run, hop, skip and jump depending on how the mood takes them). I should write dictionaries...” -

“Thanks Rob, I'm really delighted that you're supportive of this project, and am grateful for the offer of Audioboo's an your help in making this happen. I've DMed Delores on a couple of points where I would appreciate some advice, and will let you know where there are areas that we could do with some support. I do think it is important however, that this remains a community-led project, and one where - if the expertise for something exists amongst Audioboo members we tab into that before resorting to coming back to "Audioboo Towers". We've had a good response so far from a range of people, the trick however, is going to be breaking out of our existing circle of followers and reaching the broader Audioboo population and beyond. Anyway, I'll probably drop you an email on this, but in the meantime thanks again for showing your support. Thanks, Robert” -

“Thanks Paul, I agree on your final point, and we (@dizzythinker , @braillesnail and I) have been thinking about how we can promote this as an opportunity for people to better understand each other despite the artificial boundaries of borders and oceans. I would expect any press releases, articles, blog entries and the like to reflect this - any input or specific thoughts on this point would be appreciated.” -
